Dr. Tim Chomyn (Dr. Tim) graduated from Georgia State University in 1978 with degrees in Special Education and School Psychology. I taught Special Education in Marietta City Schools and worked with elementary students diagnosed with Learning Disabilities and Behavior Disorders. Next, I worked for the Forsyth County Schools as a School Psychologist. I completed my Doctorate at the University of Georgia in 1985 in School Psychology. Work history includes 24 years at Northwest Georgia Regional Hospital working with both children and adults. I’ve had extensive court experience completing Competency and Juvenile Court evaluations. I have been in private practice since 2010 working in Ringgold, Dalton and here at AGC since 2015. I specialize in using Cognitive Behavior Therapy. I am an outdoor enthusiast, which includes camping, fishing, hunting and hiking. Hiking is my passion. I average about 500 miles a year on the trail. My most memorable hike was the Inca Trail to Machu Pechu, September 2022. That was a 30 mile hike in the Andes Mountains of Peru.
